Cambodia’s National Assembly President Sends Congratulations to Russian Parliament on National Day

PHNOM PENH, June 8, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia’s National Assembly President Khuon Sudary has sent an official message of congratulations to Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of Russia’s State Duma, on the occasion of the Russian Federation’s National Day, to be celebrated on June 12.

In the message, Sudary extended “heartfelt and warmest congratulations and felicitations” to Volodin, members of the State Duma and the Russian people.

She noted the significance of the National Day as an important moment of unity and pride, conveying respect on behalf of Cambodia’s legislature as well as in her personal capacity.

Sudary underlined her belief that long‑standing relations between Cambodia and Russia would continue to develop positively.

She highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation between the two legislatures, describing parliamentary ties as a key pillar of broader bilateral relations.

According to the message, both sides have maintained friendly and multifaceted cooperation over the years.

Sudary expressed confidence that these relations would flourish further, guided by mutual interests and shared aspirations for development.

She added that strengthened cooperation between Cambodia and Russia could contribute to wider regional and international stability, peace and prosperity.

The message also conveyed best wishes for Volodin’s health and success, along with ongoing progress for the Russian Federation and its people.
